Annual Winter Conference
The 2025 OTA Winter Conference and Trade Show will take place January 29 - 31, 2025.
The Ohio Township Association's annual conference is held in Columbus each year to further the education of township officials and staff, and to provide networking opportunities to meet fellow township officials and staff from all across Ohio. With more than 80 educational workshops, a trade show with over 150 vendors, and several networking and entertainment events, the conference is a great opportunity for OTA members to advance their knowledge of Ohio's townships.
Conference Information is released in late fall each year. Housing and other registration details will be provided via the OTA's Upcoming Events page (see link above), the November/December issue of the Ohio Township News magazine, and other publications.
Workshops
Workshops are offered along several tracks, including trustees, fiscal officers, roads, zoning, and safety services. The OTA also strives to offer classes specifically designed for newly elected officials.
The OTA will post a call for workshop topics and speakers in the fall of 2024.

Trade Show
More than 150 vendors participate in the Trade Show, and the showcased industries range from truck and tractor dealers to printing services and playground companies.

Continuing Education
The OTA works with the Treasurer of State's office to certify the required classes for Certified Public Investment Management (CPIM) training. Additionally, the OTA works with the Auditor of State's office to certify training to meet Fiscal Officer Integrity Act training requirements.
Leadership Academy
Classes will be offered to help meet the graduation requirements of the Ohio Township Association Leadership Academy. This program is available to those wishing to enhance their leadership and decision-making skills. Participants must register and attend the General Workshop and six of ten electives, as well as participate in a federal component. All requirements must be met within three years, and graduates are recognized at the conference's Thursday morning General Session each year.

Workshop Recordings
The annual conference does not stop after the event! Educational workshops are recorded and made available to all registrants as a part of their registration. To access the workshop recordings, visit our Resource Center. Recordings are currently available from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 OTA Winter Conferences. Handouts will be included below the video link in each session if provided. Accredited classes must be reported within specified timeframes to comply with the associated organizations. See each set of recordings for more specific information on expiration dates for accreditation.
