Membership in OTAN is contingent upon membership in the OTA. All administrators are encouraged to join the OTA as an affiliate member, which grants a person full membership privileges in OTAN. Please contact Michael Zaky if you are interested in joining.

Description: Emotional intelligence, or EQ, is important to interacting with officials, employees, and residents. Learn how EQ comprises the awareness and regulation of one's emotions, as well as the capacity to understand and manage the emotions of others. This fundamental understanding and how it can benefit your township sets the stage for its correlation with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).

Communicating and Navigating Through Conflict

Speaker: Kyle White, Community Development Educator, The Ohio State University
Description: Conflict is normal, common, and does not have to result in a breakdown in communication. Many people avoid conflict, deflect, ignore, or become combative. If you get stressed and unable to communicate during conflict, you are not alone. There is a better way. This class will provide tools to build communication despite differences and to build individual awareness that will enhance your ability to focus on common ground and conflict resolution.
