The Township Education Subscription allows a township to make one annual payment of $250 and grant all active and affiliate OTA members within that township access to a broad collection of online training resources.

What is the Township Education Subscription?
The Township Education Subscription gives all active and affiliate OTA members within a participating township access to eligible live webinars, the complete webinar archive and select Winter Conference recordings for one annual township payment.
What training is included?
The subscription includes new webinars offered throughout 2026, the complete webinar archive and recordings from the 2022 through 2024 Winter Conferences.
Training topics include township law, governance, zoning, finance, records management, safety services, administration and other general township issues.
View the complete webinar archive for currently available recordings.
What is not included?
The subscription does not include recordings from the 2025 or 2026 Winter Conferences. It also does not extend benefits to nonmembers or associate members.
When does the subscription begin and expire?
The subscription year runs from January 1 through December 31. All subscriptions expire on December 31, regardless of the date they were purchased.
Who may use the subscription?
Subscription benefits are available to all current active and affiliate OTA members associated with a participating township.
Can an individual purchase a subscription?
No. The subscription must be purchased for a township or through a qualifying county-wide enrollment. It cannot be purchased for only one individual.
Can nonmembers or associate members use the subscription?
No. Nonmembers and associate members may continue to purchase individual webinars à la carte, but they are not eligible for Township Education Subscription benefits.
What happens if I leave office or no longer maintain an eligible OTA membership?
Access ends when you are no longer an active or affiliate member associated with the subscribing township. Any webinars you purchased individually will remain associated with your account.
How much does the subscription cost?
The standard price is $250 per township per year. This single payment covers all eligible active and affiliate OTA members within the township.
Do I need a subscription to attend only one or two webinars?
No. Individual webinars will remain available for à la carte purchase. The subscription is intended to provide greater value when multiple officials or employees participate in OTA training throughout the year.
How can a small township justify the cost?
Because the subscription covers every eligible member in the township, even limited participation by several officials can exceed the annual subscription price.
Example: One official attends 10 webinars at $20 each, costing the township $200.
If four officials participate at that same level, the township would spend $800. With the subscription, all eligible members receive access for a total of $250.
Can MORE Grant funding be used?
Yes. OTARMA has approved the subscription as a qualified purchase under the Managing Ohio Risk Exposures Grant for eligible OTARMA-member townships.
Visit the MORE Grant webpage for current application information.
Is a county-wide discount available?
Yes. When every township in a county participates, the price is reduced to $175 per township per year.
The county township association may pay using association funds or collect the fee from each township. To discuss county-wide enrollment, contact the OTA office at 614-863-0045.

Township fiscal officers generally receive renewal invoices by email in early October. Payment may be submitted online, by phone or by mailing a check with a printed invoice.
How are county-wide subscriptions renewed?
The OTA coordinates county-wide renewals separately with the participating county township association. Every township in the county must continue to participate for the reduced $175-per-township rate to apply.
