The event will feature on-course contests such as closest-to-the-pin, skins, double-down, and longest-drive contests. The format is a scramble, and a shotgun start is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
Attendees may register 1-4 players. If you do not register a full team of 4, the OTA may place you with other golfers.

The OTA Scholarship Program offers scholarships to students residing in Ohio’s townships and planning to attend in-state colleges, universities, and training programs. Starting in 2005 with a generous donation from former board member Paul Smith, and his wife Ethel, the OTA offered two $1,500 scholarships to students who excelled academically and in their local communities. Thanks to various donations and events like the OTA Golf Outing, the OTA now offers up to five scholarships in three categories:
- Local Government Achievement
- Academic Achievement
- Trade School Scholarships
These scholarships recognize students who demonstrate a commitment to their communities, academic excellence, and future career growth.
Tickets: 1 for $5 or 10 for $20. Place tickets in prize boxes for a chance to win specific items. Winners drawn during the awards reception.

The longest putt wins a prize.
The shot closest to the pin wins a prize.
$5 each (limit one per player). A “do-over” shot that does not count against your team score. Available at registration.
The Ohio Township Association’s Annual Golf Outing is a scramble. Each group competes as a team for the lowest team score. Additional rules are below.
- Place ball within one club length of the original ball.
- On the putting green, place the ball within three inches of the original ball.
- In placing the ball, you may not change the condition of the shot. If the ball is in a hazard or rough, all members of the team must play their shot from the hazard or rough.
- Bogey is max score on every hole.
- Leave the putting green as soon as you have holed to ensure everyone has a chance to complete their round of golf.
