Property Taxes
The OTA has created a toolkit for members to support your local communications efforts and help residents better understand the essential services townships provide and how those services are funded across Ohio. Members can find more information on our Resource Center.
The OTA Service Corp. commissioned a study, The Economic Contribution of Ohio Townships, conducted by Silverlode Consulting, which found that Ohio's townships are a major force behind the state's economy. The study highlights the scale and impact of township-based businesses across industries, while also underscoring townships' ability to deliver essential services with a significantly lower local tax burden than municipalities.
Townships may use these resources to educate their residents and the general public about townships and property taxes. Download the flyer and infographic by clicking below.
