Description:

Union negotiations present unique legal, financial, and operational challenges for townships and the attorneys who advise them. This session will provide township legal counsel with practical guidance on collective bargaining strategies, labor law considerations, contract negotiations, grievance issues, and maintaining productive relationships with union representatives while protecting township interests. Attendees will gain insight into preparing elected officials for negotiations, avoiding common legal pitfalls, and supporting effective long-term labor management practices.

  • Make all checks payable to the Ohio Township Association. Payment for more than one attendee can be included in the same check. 
  • The form can be mailed to the Ohio Township Association at 6500 Taylor Rd. Suite A, Blacklick, OH 43004, faxed to 614-863-9751, or emailed to Michael Zaky. (Emailed forms will require payment to be mailed to the address above.)
  • Paper registration forms are due five business days prior to the event.
