Herbicide Applicator Recertification Program

Learn best practices for managing roadside vegetation at this free, in-person training hosted at ODOT’s Central Office on April 21, 2026 (8:30 a.m.–3:45 p.m.). The course will cover how herbicides can supplement mowing and cutting programs, considerations for pollinator habitats, and compliance with Ohio safety and environmental regulations.

Designed for ODOT and local government employees involved in vegetation management, the training features experts from the Ohio Department of Agriculture, The Ohio State University, and industry partners. Pre-registration is required, and licensed applicators may earn Ohio Department of Agriculture recertification credit hours.
