11 Townships Awarded Funding for Body-Worn Camera Program

Governor Mike DeWine announced $4.4 million in funding through the fifth round of the Ohio Body-Worn Camera Grant Program to support local law enforcement agencies.

A total of 131 agencies will receive grants to establish, expand, or upgrade body-worn camera programs. Township police departments receiving awards include Pierce Township and Union Township (Clermont County); Miami Township (Clermont County); Poland Township (Mahoning County); German Township and Miami Township (Montgomery County); Jackson Township (Stark County); Bath Township and Springfield Township (Summit County); Kinsman Township (Trumbull County); and Clearcreek Township (Warren County).

Since the program’s launch in 2021, 370 agencies statewide have received funding to help integrate this technology into their operations.
