Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Education Session

Newsroom,

NATaT will be hosting a discussion regarding the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) with Mr. Charles Small, DOT’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs and Mr. Ryan Arbuckle and Ms. Sabrina McNeal from the FRA’s Office of Governmental Affairs. This discussion will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) includes billions of dollars in competitive funding available to local governments, including towns and townships, across dozens of new and existing programs. As townships begin to rebuild and reinvest in their communities, the Biden-Harris Administration wants to support local leaders as they combine funding streams, organize around their priorities, and build local support for long overdue infrastructure projects.

To that end, senior staff from the Department of Transportation will provide NATaT with an overview of the programs included in the BIL that will be of interest to our membership. One of those programs, the Federal Railroad Administration’s new Railroad Crossing Elimination Grant Program, will be of particular interest to townships.
