Washington Township, Franklin County, Fire Department Arson/Mutual Aid Response

On December 2, 2025, Washington Township Fire Department crews quickly responded to a two-alarm fire at E&H Ace Hardware located in the Dublin Plaza, Dublin, OH. 

Upon arrival at the intersection of West Bridge Street and Frantz Road, firefighters observed flames coming from the building’s roof and attic. Crews immediately began firefighting operations, cutting electricity to the plaza and evacuating nearby businesses while mutual aid and additional equipment were called in to assist in the two-alarm response.

Due to the swift actions of crews on scene, the fire was contained and extinguished safely. No injuries were reported, and there was no collateral damage to nearby businesses. 

An investigation led by Washington Township Fire Marshal Sam Parsons, along with fire inspectors and the Dublin Police Department, determined the fire was caused by arson. An arrest was made shortly after the fire was started. 

Washington Township Fire Department and their mutual aid partners, Norwich Township, Columbus, Marysville, and Upper Arlington Fire Departments, as well as Box 15, are commended for their quick response and dedicated service to the community.
