Adult-Use Cannabis Tax Funds Distributed

Adult-use cannabis tax distributions were released in mid-January to local governments that host adult-use dispensaries, including nearly $100 million in back payments to the Local Community Host Fund. Senate Bill 56, sponsored by Senator Steve Huffman, ensures host communities receive a direct share of the revenue generated by these businesses. Moving forward, the Host Community Fund will receive 36 percent of the 10 percent adult-use marijuana tax. The Ohio Township Association thanks the General Assembly for its work on this issue and encourages members to thank their state representative and state senator for supporting the Host Community Fund.
