Neighborhood Revitalization and Critical Infrastructure Grants Awarded

Governor DeWine, Lt. Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik announced in November nearly $13.8 million in Neighborhood Revitalization and Critical Infrastructure grants for 26 communities, including five townships. The funding will support projects such as water and sewer upgrades, drainage improvements, road and sidewalk reconstruction, and park enhancements. Adams County will receive $285,000 to assist Bratton and Meigs Townships in roadwork repairs on Old State Route 32, benefitting about 2,500 residents. Gallia County will receive $211,300 to assist Clay Township with repairs to a road slip, and the installation of a guard rail on Eblin Hollow Road, preventing risks to drivers and protecting an exposed water main. The project benefits about 280 residents.

Jackson County will receive $498,800 to assist the Village of Oak Hill and Jefferson Township with sewer facility improvements, including new lines and manholes to replace failing infrastructure. About 50 residents will benefit.

Pike County will receive $500,000 to help Pebble Township construct a retaining wall and realign Buchanan Road, benefitting 2,000 residents. These investments aim to strengthen essential community infrastructure and improve quality of life for Ohioans.
