Franklin County Holds Third Annual Safety Day

Safety is essential for field employees who face new environments each day. To support their work, the Franklin County Township Association (FCTA) hosted its third annual Safety Day for field employees on September 25, 2025, at the Franklin County Fairgrounds Edwards Building. The six-hour training event has become a favorite among township staff.
Participants received education on a variety of topics, including an AEP overhead electric demonstration, a mental health awareness presentation from 2Tuff2Talk, and five breakout sessions covering high-hazard inspections, safety data sheets, underground utility safety, load securement, and zero-turn mower best practices. Past sessions have included gas line safety, chainsaw and chipper training, and work zone safety. All attendees received a Certificate of Completion for six hours of safety education.
Safety Day is made possible through the expertise of its presenters and the support of sponsors. This year’s event was sponsored by the law offices of Brosius, Johnson, and Griggs. FCTA appreciates their contribution and looks forward to welcoming participants again next year.
